Ryo presents herself as a shrewd and outgoing girl upon first glance. She is friendly, chill and easy to talk to although she can be a bit talkative, and has a bad habit of overwhelming people with her energy. Overall, Ryo is a sweet and caring girl with a sense of empathy and understanding, which is why many turn to her for advice. This is why some of her underclassmen refer to her as a "big sister" due to her surprisingly wise mind.

She is a bit of a scatterbrain; she sometimes slips her words and ends up saying the wrong things, or forgetting some things often. Due to this, she is quite ditzy. She heavily relies on instructions and is often scared to do some things like cooking without them. Ryo has also bit of impatience and a short-temper; easily taking offense from someone and is ocassionally blunt about her feelings, notably speaking them out loud sarcastically. Additionally, Ryo is shown to curse a lot without any shame. She also has a playful, mischievous personality. She likes she to tease others and make some sexual innuendos, though she knows her limits.

Ryo is actually competent with her studies, but she is always seen so lazy with them and often procrastinates, which leads people to believe otherwise. 

Rio is greatly passionate about art, and immediately jumps at the mention of it. She takes her art passion seriously to the point that she won’t stand when other people go against art ethics such as art theft and bashing.
