He doesn't speak. People call him Fly because of the species of mushroom he's apparently fused with, fly agaric. He can't read either, and it leads others to wonder if he can see at all. He gets around fine as if he could. He doesn't seem to have much of a personality and just wanders around the wooded edges of the town.
There are rumors that he was a human infected by The Professor's mushroom parasite, though neither of them are aware of these assumptions.
