Assigned by their creator and Celestial Lotus to keep an eye on the townspeople, Zophiel decided she’d rather get up close and personal with her charges, and over the centuries, she’s taken a glamour and lived amongst the humans, swapping her name and face from time to time. This led her to them meeting their now wife Camellia,  who’d been  doing the same thing for different reasons.
The amount of threats she’s had to deal with have been mounting up over the years- and they’re hitting closer and closer to home. Something’s happening, and Zoe’s already bracing for impact. With Lotus dead, there’ll be no more guardians here, so she’s got nothing to lose.
