Nevada Paloma Arazel Collins

The daughter of Gabriel Hernandez and Rosalina Arazel, Neva was abandoned by them and subsequently was raised by her maternal grandparents, Julian and Rosa Arazel. She grew up without contact to her parents since her grandparents never knew where they left and lost contact as well. Neva developed a passion for art and music, and leaned heavily into the pop culture she grew around, especially the 90s grunge and rock scene. She gained a rebellious attitude as she came to understand her parents abandoning her and resented the overprotective, somewhat strict parenting Julian and Rosa gave her. She helped them run their laundromat, but also worked on her own creative skills when she had the time. While she never had many serious relationships, she wasn’t opposed to a fling every now and then, though it was far less frequent than her reputation at school made it seem. She was a thrill-seeker and loved parties, but had a habit of occasionally taking it too far by getting drunk or trying substances, though again her reputation made it seem worse than it actually was. Neva was also part of a garage band with her friends, which is where she met Orlando Collins.

The two seemed to get along well and started a serious relationship. Orlando got Neva pregnant during her senior year of college, forcing her to quit school before graduation. Working together, the two worked on getting Neva’s music to the public, and she quickly became a star, alongside Orlando beginning to succeed in his own business ventures. With this shocking luck, Neva and Orlando were able to have a safe life setup and got married at their town hall before having their daughter, Beth. Neva did her best to juggle her fame as a music star and being a mother, vaguely making amends with her family so she could move on with her own, new family. However, this juggling made her absent at times for Beth, with Orlando handling most of the housework as he built his businesses from home and homeschooling their daughter for the first few years. As Beth grew, Neva and Orlando found out about her strange multiverse psychic powers, with Neva insisting they ignore it and pretend they don’t exist so Beth could try and live a normal life. As far as Neva is aware, this plan has worked. She does her best to support her husband and daughter, though can get caught up in her status and work as a music star.
