Danteus, before he died, was a primal demon who caused mass carnage to the first humans to exist on Earth. He was among the seven sins, who were also primal/created along the first humans; though, Danteus himself was not a sin, merely a disciple/comrade.

Danteus (and the other sins) suffered divine punishment. His was being thrown deep into space, encased in a large chunk of ice. He watched his body become void-touched and felt his mind rot and slowly wither into insanity.

After thousands of years of slowly going insane, Danteus found his way back to Earth, crashing near the castle of the infamous (and only) Lich on Earth. The Lich found his body and revived him into becoming a revenant- only a spell the gods could use. Danteus came back stronger, powerful, and had the ability to tear open reality and use the rift as a wormhole to travel.
