Ruby

Ruby has a sweet and affable personality, though she is very shy despite that. She has social anxiety, which might surprise people as she seems fearlessly sociable and incredibly charming. Generally altruistic and kind, she looks out for the people around her to the best of her ability. Which might not mean a lot. She often zones out daydreaming, and can be forgetful at times.

Ruby prefers isolation, though she appreciates having a small amount of people around her so long as not much is happening. A lover who will quietly read in the background or nap in her lap while she does something else is the ideal alone together situation for her.

In regards to love, she falls quickly and easily for people, including those she's literally just met. She has a hopeless romantic approach to dating, and she's also incredibly attracted to "bad boys" and musicians. There's a part of her that wants to do exciting, possibly illegal things, nothing that would hurt anyone; but she could never do it alone.

Ruby is an only child with two mothers and no siblings. She was pretty sheltered as a child, as her parents were terrified of her being abducted after hearing stories of it happening to other children in the country. They spoiled her as much as possible, but her social growth was stunted, making it difficult for her to interact with children her age at school. She was a crybaby and a lot of the other kids found her annoying, leading to her being bullied until her parents transferred her to a different school.

However, this sort of thing kept happening, until Ruby started to withdraw entirely. She became so afraid of people, not just because of personal experience, but from hearing horror stories from multiple sources about kidnapping, assault, murder, and so on that she started to refuse to go to school. 

This resulted in her dropping out of high school to lock herself in her room. Though they worried for her, Ruby's mothers didn't try to get her to stop. They realized this was likely their fault and spent all their time trying to make up for it. Ruby spent years doing nothing but playing video games, reading, and scrolling the internet while avoiding direct social interaction with anyone but her mothers.

Ruby had to find the will to help herself and seek therapy for her anxiety, which her mothers could easily afford. In the years since, she's greatly improved. Part of her therapy included getting a job where she works with people; she turned out to be quite popular, actually, especially as she became more confident. She now works at a cafe with a cute uniform.

Ruby started dating Kyou after seeing him eating at the cafe with his instrument case with him. She was enamored with him on sight and slipped him her phone number. They dated for a few months before Ruby broke up with him, citing concerns with his lack of stability. Ruby, ideally, wants a cute little family unit, with a husband, maybe some children, a home, etc, yet she goes primarily for men that are obviously not the most stable of people.
