PERSONALITY
♦ Leo is very low energy. He enjoys studying wicca and botany, and prefers to spend time around nature. He spends a lot of time sleeping, and enjoys napping in the shade of trees. He is sarcastic, with an otherwise weak sense of humor. Talks of romance and sex make him deeply uncomfortable. He enjoys spending time around others without conversing.

♦ Leo is very apathetic. He has trouble understanding other people's feelings and gets confused when people expect him to be feeling something, too. Even in the face of certain death, he doesn't understand why he should be afraid, or why he should care. When people hurt him he doesn't get why he should be upset, or despise them for it, nor does it make sense to him when others get upset on his behalf.

♦ Leo wears a hematite crystal wand as an earring. Hematite is a grounding crystal that relieves a sense of spaciness felt when working with high crystal energy stones. It decreases a sense of negativity and boosts self-confidence.

♦ Leo is narcoleptic, and absolutely abysmal at handling it. He has trouble maintaining anything other than a chaotic schedule, and is adverse to the concept of taking most non-herbal ("unnatural") medication, particularly potentially addictive ones. Instead, he avoids doing anything that would be dangerous (or kinda awkward) to fall asleep in the middle of.

BACKGROUND
♦ He was born and raised (for awhile) in an ambiguous location in Saudi Arabia with his mother, Lulwa, who worked at a flower shop.

♦ He was bullied as a child, but he was never really bothered by it. His lack of a reaction to everything surprisingly didn't seem to help. He never made friends because he wasn't terribly interested in other people. He was significantly more interested in plants and animals; as a child all of his "friends" were bugs, flowers, and random neighborhood cats. His mother and teachers didn't seem to understand him and tried to help him, but it was just stressful on him.

♦ When he was twelve, a group of kids in his neighborhood tried to play a cruel prank on him, which resulted in him almost dying. He was hospitalized for awhile, during which time his mother tore into the parents of all the kids responsible until they were almost in tears. Leo didn't know why his mom reacted that way and was dissonantly serene himself. His mother became convinced she needed to get him out of that situation, so she worked to move them out of the country to North America. Lulwa opened a flower shop, and Leo's life continued similarly; minus the bullying. In high school, when his grades tanked harder than usual (he wasn't interested in schoolwork) his mother let him drop out so long as he got a job, so he worked in her flower shop.

♦ He met Lucia and August one day when they came into the shop and August casually mentioned to Lulwa that she was looking for an apartment. Lulwa took it as an opportunity to get Leo friends, so she pushed him off on them, as he had his own apartment at the time that would have enough room for new roommates (especially a couple that would sleep in the same room). They got along better than anyone could have expected--August's positivity was infectious, while Lucia was low energy and chill for when Leo couldn't handle August's severity. Furthermore, all three of them were into wicca, and video games, so it was a match made in heaven--especially with the girls being the types who would never flirt with him and would respect all of his boundaries.
