Hollyhock

Hollyhock was rejected when they tried to stop one of their siblings from being tossed into the Abyss. They and little Loveheart ended up going down together, and Hollyhock decided to stick with their much smaller sibling. The duo became a trio when Kit joined them in their escape from The Abyss, and the three siblings travelled together for quite some time. The protective instincts that got Hollyhock cast into the abyss remained strong, and Hollyhock, if needed, would have very much been willing to lay down their own life to keep the others safe. Who’d have thought things would turn out the way they did?

Loveheart turned on their siblings, and the seemingly harmless Vessel proved to be a ruthless opponent. They overpowered Holly and Kit, and while Kit disappeared to parts unknown, Holly managed to stumble to the town of Dirtmouth, where they were found and their wounds tended to.

While Hollyhock technically lives in Dirtmouth now, they rarely remain there, travelling the kingdom in search of their lost siblings. Even if, deep down, they know Kit probably died long ago, and that finding Loveheart would only bring them more pain, they have hope, and cling to it tightly.
