Uchū is a second-year student at UA, in the Hero course. His quirk is Space Warp, the ability to create temporary folds in space that connect two places. He can fold up to 70 m of space in each fold. Each must stay within 30 m of him to stay folded, each lasts for a max of 1 min, and he can keep 4 intact at a time. He usually uses them to "teleport" between places, or unfolds them to push things away from him. When he overuses his quirk, his depth perception is disrupted, so he usually gets dizzy and falls down/passes out. Both of his parents are scientists. His father's quirk makes time speed up, and his mother is immune to most poisons. He originally wanted to be a scientist like them, and his sister, Gin, wanted to become a hero. She has the ability to make various chemicals come from her skin. Unfortunately, she became a villain, going by the name Mad Alchemist. Uchū decided to become a hero to defeat her and hopefully bring her back to the side of good. 

Overall he's almost always sleepy, likes watching old sci fi movies and reading, and is seen as a quiet nerd by most of his classmates. He's pretty nearsighted, and uses the goggles in his costume to help him see long distances to use his quirk. He has a form of Alice-In-Wonderland syndrome due to his quirk, and has difficulty telling the size of things around him. It doesn't help that he's very tall and skinny. He also has nightmares about being trapped in the folds he makes. One of his favorite things is researching how other people's quirks work.
