"Jo. 7 lived most of his life working for a horror side-show.

However, it was shut down for shady practices and abuse charges, and most of the Grems involved had to find other work. Poor Jo here isn't the brightest bulb in the shack. I can't remember what sean said he eventually found work doing, but after a few years of it, he decided  he didn't like it. He eventually meets Transient on her way through his town, and falls in love with the idea of being a travelling nomad just like her.
That same day, he walked out of his workplace for good. And took a bunch of the cash from the tills with him. 
Now he travels with Transient and co... Not because they want him to, but because he's afraid to travel alone.
Despite his appearance and towering stature... He's a bit... of a cowardly lion. "
