scobey is a paranormal investigator who was raised outdoorsy. his dad often took him out hunting as a teenager - these trips ended when an accident with a beartrap cost scobey his tail. this also led to his parents' divorce. he's since become wary of that whole scene and doesn't talk to his parents anymore, though neither were particularly bad to him.

scobey now works as a paranormal investigator! he works largely alone but sometimes collabs with other people. his base of operations is in idaho, but he'll travel anywhere in the northern pacific northwest.

generally aloof, scobey tends to come off as sarcastic, grouchy, and grungey. he's also devoted, hard-working, and a devoted skeptic - he doesn't believe in the stuff he investigates, which makes him perfect for the job. despite his sarcasm, he's very genuine when serious. he has a surprisingly caring inside, it's just hard to get to if you've only just met him. his long-time friends understand him to be a humorous, layered person, with a warm interior and surprising generosity... his love language is acts of service. he keeps this hidden from strangers and acquaintances.

scobey is omnivorous! his diet consists of meat, fruits, insects, and snack food. he's also got a huge sweet tooth for honey. clothing-wise, he's almost always shirtless, and enjoys patterned boxers & denim. he listens to bands such as nirvana, pearl jam, and general new wave tunes. he smokes weed but hates alcohol & cigarettes.
