Defining Features: Bears numerous scars from years of being forced to fight throughout his childhood and years of fighting and training on top of that.

Personality: Often blunt and to the point, with little inflection to his voice or change of expression on his face many people can find the sweeper hard to read. Kaito is very much the quiet type and would rather not speak if he doesn't have to, preferring to allow his subtle body language or actions to speak for him. Despite this he does have a caring and even protective personality beneath the surface.

Kaito is a selective mute; in many situations he finds himself unable to speak, and has learned how to use sign language to communicate when he can't vocalize.

Brief History: When he was a child Kaito was more or less a fighting dog. He was forced to fight other children, even kill them, but he knew no other life. To him and many others it was the norm. He became friends with one of the other fighters, a young eater named Aeon. Despite knowing they may have to face each other in the ring one day the two formed a bond, provided each other comfort, watched over each other as they slept.

During a particularly brutal fight Kaito was badly wounded and unable to fight properly. Seeing as he was getting older, and would be incompacitated for some time it was deemed cheaper and easier to put him down rather than spend the money and resources on a sick and injured fighter who would soon be too old to fight.

Kaito knew this, though, and managed to fend them off before making an escape. Eventually he was found near-dead by Tarazed who decided to take him in, and nurse him back to health, even allowed him to stay in his home while he recovered. Kaito didn't understand why he had decided to do such a thing, and very little about the outside world, but once the sweeper was fully recovered he was more than willing to work for him, wanted it more than anything. Now he works at Night Bloom and from what he has learned is able to read, write, and function in society, for the most part.

The young sweeper is a proficient fighter he has a hard time connecting to others emotionally, or trusting, due to the trauma and abuse he suffered. However he has managed to make a few familial bonds with his boss, Tarazed, and his coworker, Arrakis, as well as rekindle his friendship with Aeon.
