Baron

About

Baron was created by VesselCorp with exactly one mission: hunt and destroy Cypherus grem2. He was one of the originals made for this job, taking to his task with the utmost ferocity. After a tragic event which led to the deaths of his old team, he was briefly decommissioned for mental evaluations. This period in his life was the hardest thus far for him. Baron could not stand to be worthless and subsequently struggled daily with the mental tests and not being allowed to train. He would stay up, nights a time, fantasizing about catching the cypherus that destroyed his old team.

After nearly six months, he was reinstated, but found VesselCorp’s views on hunting were vastly different. Grem2 that were not created for the specific purpose of being hunters were being hired. Grem2 who were, in Baron’s opinion, subpar, were being sent out into the field to do his job. He became relentless after that, raising both in rank amongst VesselCorp’s hunters, but also among those who did not understand the hunters.

Baron became a legend, the Grem Reaper, said to collect runaway grem2 and kill those who owners wanted killed. In reality, jobs like those are few and far inbetween, but Baron does not turn down any job handed by him. He fears being deemed unworthy and decommissioned, so when he is assigned partner’s he views it as being thought of as weak. He does not work well with others because of this, often struggling to befriend those unlucky enough to meet him long term.

He is not without friends, despite this. Orion has weaseled his way into Baron’s heart, as has a recent new recruit to VesselCorp. There are always his birds as well. Baron collects wounded birds and gives them a home until they can fly away. He feeds the pigeons daily and has every single one named. Only one bird stays with him full time, a sharp beaked bird with purple plumage, which Baron lovingly calls, Dearest.
