Kigu

About

Kigu was created by VesselCorp with exactly one mission: hunt and destroy Cypherus grem2. They was one of the originals made for the job, but they never took it entirely seriously. They saw the brief flashes of freedom to hunt as just that; brief flashes of freedom. They preferred to tell jokes and mess around over actually working, but nonetheless managed to make good friends with the majority of their team. The one they were closest to, Baron, particularly looked after Kigu.

Baron seemed to think Kigu was incapable of taking care of themselves. He would bring them their meals, help them workout, even spent extra time before missions to make sure Kigu was briefed. Kigu delighted in Baron’s doting behaviors, hamming up their ‘inability’ to do things in order to get his attention.

Their life was, in their eyes, blissful. Sure, there was the occasional skirmish, but they were happy. Then came the soul-stealing cypherus. In a matter of minutes, their entire team, save for Baron and Kigu, had been eliminated. Baron the prodigy was frozen stuff and so Kigu moved in for the kill. They did serious damage to the cypherus, but were struck unconscious. When they came to, they were in a body bag, and struggled to get free. The worker who spotted them had a strange look in their eye, less from fright and more from curiosity. Kigu was quickly tranquilized before they could ask what had happened to Baron.

The next year of their life was a nightmare. Testing was done on them, they were told they had ‘certainly died’ and that they must be a cypher in some way or form. Kigu never showed any powers, but the painful tests done on them caused them to become unhinged. A fear of water grew throughout this time so they found themselves drawn to fire.

Then they got their chance to breakout. Someone left their door unlocked and Kigu escaped into the night. They have not been seen often since, but it is theorized they are out there, planning revenge on VesselCorp and the partner who left them behind.
