Flameburst is a rather prickly Maximal. He isn’t one for small talk, but he will happily talk about Earth’s reptiles. He can been seen as grumpy and standoffish, but he really does care about the Earth and its inhabitants.

Flameburst was created as part of an illegal, experimentational batch of warriors built on Cybertron. A group of Maximals decided that they needed warriors, in case the Predacons ever broke the peace treaty and attacked. So, they created obedient soldiers, only equipped with enough training to fight- meaning, they were only taught how to read, write, speak, and fight. Furthermore, they were not given the freedom to think, or be unique. Flameburst was selected to join Optimus Primal’s exploration crew, and began to learn how to be his own person with the help of those in the Beast Wars.
