Corsair

fighter-class | aerial division

+ reliable + adaptable + intuitive // - older model - doesn't do as well alone

The Corsair models were designed to be deployed in 'packs' where their skills as adaptable and relentless dogfighters made them very successful. Several features have made this model one to remember; it's foldable wings made for great maneuverability and convenient holding, its powerful limbs made terrain travel easier for a quick take-off, its limbs could also be used to deadly effect to dismantle and damage enemy planes in close combat, and their intuitive fighting style meant they could change tactics and adapt to scenarios as it evolved.

Corsairs were particularly feared by naval vessels and often referred to with fear as "Screamers". This was due to how they would dive from high in the air, air flowing through their specially placed holes to create a terrifying screaming whistle. Men would have to cover their ears as they got close, especially if it was a pack, as the noise would often cause them to be paralyzed with fear - the fact they often dropped bombs, missiles or torpedoes during these dives helped cement the terror they brought.

Although mostly retired due to being out-classed by modern, faster models of biomech, the Corsairs hold their place in the history books and remain a fan favourite at demonstrations and family air show events. The dive bombing screams are purely for show now.
