Reuben (rabbit)

Reuben is a spunky young rabbit in the Animal Crossing universe with a cranky personality (an exception to cranky villagers acting old). He is very stubborn, but in a soft way, and he is a (nonviolent) tsundere when it comes to love. He acts confident and mature for the most part, but when someone catches him off guard, he becomes an embarrassed, blushy mess. He is very strong, but no one could tell right away from his short size and relatively soft looking body (his gijinka has dad bod).

✦ Appearance

Reuben is a light red rabbit with brown eyes with yellow scleras. He has a little curl in the middle of his face and a low ponytail. His hair is purple. He has light pink cheek markings that appear like blush and inner ears of the same color. He wears a green sleeveless parka. Reuben also has a gijinka form.

Reuben came from a poorer family and was the youngest and smallest of four children. His parents did not model a good work ethic for their children, so Reuben took it upon himself to learn to be a hard worker, despite his siblings teasing him for being so ambitious. He did not let himself take many breaks as a teenager and instead prioritized working and saving money for when he'd be on his own. Only as a young adult did he let himself relax more and explore his options more with work, friendship, dreams, goals, and love. He thinks he is straight until he meets a bat named Aerglo, and continues to stubbornly assert that he is somehow even after they start dating, as if he forgets. Basically, they have the "But I'm not gay!"-"We've been together for five years, hon" dynamic.
