Childhood
Willis grew up like a normal kid who lives in the Kingdom, he didn't have anything weird or off. Growing up mostly in an apartment building with his mom he saw a lot of how the middle and lower classes lived. He had dreams mixed between becoming CEO of a gaming company to ruling the art industry he had whacky ideas but eventually just settled on wanting to go to art school by middle school. He didn't think he was really special at all, though he did notice it was peculiar to have 3 horns but he has seen it before...
The Royal Incident
Never suspecting his importance he graduated high school and moved onto improving his art skill alone in his room. Though graduated, he signed up months before in school for a blood drive and went to take blood drawings, you know to donate blood- He's never had something like this done before but he knew he definitely will never do it again since it hurt really badly getting a needle in his arm. But he was mostly doing it cause he was curious on what his blood type was. He learned his blood type through a series of events starting with a group of scary bodyguards showing up at his door and asking him to pack up only things immediately important for the moment and getting shoved into a limo. Being explained to by the mayor of K-Town himself that Willis was indeed of royal blood that has been lingering the lower classes for decades. Willis? Was supposed to be the next King? Sitting sloppily in the back of a limo while a pristine older man told him this wasn't going well for his brain capacity. Sighing Willis proceeded to cross his legs and look at the man in front of him and said "Whatever, I guess i'll do it" thinking this was a whatever type of situation...
Royal Academy Days/Present
Willis was acquainted with hundreds of servants and professors to teach him everything a future King needs to know. Being placed in a prestigious academy and onto the student council he would be forcefully dug into by all the snobbiest people on how to be "proper" and "leader-worthy". This was a mistake, a big mistake in Willis's eyes. He only wanted to fuck off to art school or be a shut-in for the rest of his life. He had to be stuck in this academy for 4 years, from military training and political classes he was stuck. The only thing worse was if he had to be woken up every morning by one of the most notable strict person in the school. Oh wait, he was woken up every morning. Royal bugged the shit out of Willis, he was born into being brainwashed into becoming the next Emperor and is probably only becoming Willis's personal tutor and basically a butler bodyguard just to get appointed in the future. But it became apparent Royal wanted to be the next Emperor....and married to Willis. Not cause Royal wanted power but he had a genuine crush on Willis. Which was not only weird to Willis but he definitely had a fun time messing with Royal in the idea of dating someone as stuck up as him.
Willis spent his beginning years in the academy trying his best to get kicked out himself but, it was no use. Even though Willis was known to be the biggest delinquent in school (Even having a group of friends who skipped with him which included Raven and Div) They wanted him King no matter what they had to do, so eventually Willis gave in. Maybe even also gave into dating Royal, but it didn't last long due to them going separate ways to different countries.
Timeskip
7-8 years pass, Willis though surrounded by lots of friends and acquaintances is pretty lonely. Spending most time in his room or in meetings with other countries. Signing documents and assessing military and laws. He also did painting as a hobby, sadly just a hobby. His view from his bedroom was beautiful and he always wanted to pain it but he'd only done a quarter of the work. It laid in his closet with all the other unfinished pieces *coughs* paintings of Royal was in there as well.
He's also gotten skilled at combat, but he feels it was a waste since he'd never want to join a war in the first place. Also he's gotten beefy, that's just a extra thing 😏...
In other lovely news, Royal is said to be getting married to Ruta, the mayor of K-Town and made it pretty public. Willis remembering back on the times him and Royal had, alone in his bedroom he really thought Royal had replaced him. Yes Willis broke up with Royal himself but it was just to see if Royal would pick him over his stupid stuck up values and he didn't. He genuinely thought he should put the Empire and Kingdom's wellbeing over their relationship.
Tensions between Willis and Royal get higher once it has become clear Siren will not be attending meetings. Instead she has created a fascist dictatorship over the Republic and wants to take over the Empire. Royal being Royal....Declares war on the bitch pissing off Willis. Getting scolded by Royal and Yoshiko about how since the Empire and Kingdom are allies, Willis should declare war as well. He doesn't, for a long while. Willis's stance on war was that it didn't ever make or fix anything, and that it was just killing the poor while it was the higher classes argument not the peoples. Royal made it clear in his tone towards Willis that nothing they did together in college meant nothing. At least to Willis it felt that way. To make the general happier Willis declared to be by volunteer only, not mandatory. The military was big enough that it would be enough to suffice in which it did. The empire had triple the amount of soldiers and could easily end the war. Siren wasn't afraid though and it caused a bloody battle to happen. Willis, though told by many not to bother being apart of the action insisted. He didn't want to stand around an watch, he was given expensive training just to let it go to waste? He hated war.... But joined the battle anyway causing him to get impaled from behind and getting to face death in the eyes.
Afterwar
Willis was saved by Royal and taken to a hospital specifically for him. Waking up bandaged he was injured more then just that almost fatal wound. Him and Royal finally talked about something that wasn't politics or war. Royal expressed he wanted to get Willis jealous and that's why he said he would marry Ruta. Willis said that was pretty stupid and should've just said how he really felt to Willis. During the moments that Willis thought he was going to die he said some things to Royal that surprised him, like how he always liked Royal back. They talked for hours as if trying to just catch up, it's been a long time since they had a moment like this. They got rid of all the misunderstandings too, and decided to push away any griefs about the Emperor and King getting together and decided to get married. Eventually at least, they waited till the war officially ended and then got married.....Willis also finished the painting of the city.
Willis gave Royal a lot of mixed signals in the beginning. Especially when Royal was probably the biggest annoyance to Willis during school. (Royal was strict asf about schedules and school) But in the end Willis always liked Royal back too. It seemed to everyone it was just one sided, that only Royal had a huge crush on Willis but it wasn't one sided. Once the war ended they set all misunderstandings from their academy days aside and ignore any silly laws that might stop them from getting together. Willis says his favorite thing about Royal is how easily he breaks his stoic character when around Willis.
One of Willis's best friends in his academy years. Though Willis was never sure if Raven was capable of doing magic he still hired him in the future to be a personal mage for the King (Willis). Raven was entertaining to hang around, they skipped class together a lot and Raven always talked about his home in the Empire. Willis didn't pay attention much and isn't even sure if Raven's city even exists.
Haruka, known to be one of the prettiest girls in school but also somehow the sluttiest without probably ever sleeping with anyone. Just like any other boy in school she definitely tried to get in Willis's pants. That ended pretty quickly as Willis snapped on day one at her and now all he gets is annoyed stares during student council meetings.
Student council president, probably will become the person who resides over the republic. Willis is pretty sure Siren is a girl, isn't it a bit obvious? Oh well, they don't talk much but she becomes the biggest pain in the ass in the future. Being the big reason the war started.
Jordan apparently came from the great artic, raised by penguins and came here on an iceberg. Oh well Willis doesn't question it and hangs out with Jordan a lot...Or is it that Jordan follows Willis almost everywhere? Being future King and all, he gives Jordan a free ride by letting him attend the royal academy. Was it a good idea? Maybe, but Jordan in the future becomes a con artist. Should the King stay around him? Maybe not, Willis usually considers Jordan as one of his closest friends.
This guy is from the military academy on campus, he blackmails everyone. One of the first people who found out that Willis is to be King in the next 5 years. (it was a secret to the public of Willis's identity) Willis and Night became a friends with benefits blackmailing relationship, don't worry about it. Later on Night becomes Willis's personal knight.
She's from the public college nearby and is first normal person Willis has met recently. She is really nice and one of the few girls Willis had a crush on 👉👈
It's obvious this guy has a huge crush on Raven, is that the only reason why he tries to associate himself with everyone who even looks upon Raven. Seems like he at least has better grades then Raven would ever have. Later on becomes the mayor of K-Town, he's also getting involved in some marriage scandal stuff with Royal? Who knows what that was about...
The general of the biggest army in the world. The Kingdom's army was extravagant, what are we going to war with? Yoshiko, though annoying at times, Willis looked up to him a lot for adulting advice and military skills. Yoshiko had a lot of doubting on Willis in the beginning but eventually softened up to the lazy ass cow.
He didn't talk much, but he was always, ALWAYS, skipping class at the same time as Willis. Willis didn't even realize he went to the same school as him until he saw him in class one day. He goes to the military academy but....does he do anything how much he skips? Is he passing? He seems to also think the forest talks to him....
