Chernoya

Cool, secretive and confident, Chernoya comes off as a cruel capitalist figure. Not only do they produce the capability to produce what appears to be infinite sums of money, but they are a true hedonist at heart - appreciating the finer things in life as in most cases, the pursuit of virtue is far too taxing if not destructive.

Chernoya was wished upon by a leader of an impoverished town to overcome their financial hardships. While Chernoya was able to grant the town sums of money to trade with other villagers, it also produced greed, jealousy and apathy. Their good-willed master witnessed the descension of their town into decadent avarice, and was overcome by illness until his untimely death. Observing the futility of altruism against the tides of animal greed, Chernoya understood the strength of sense and practicality.

Moreover, Chernoya is incapable of feeling complex feelings of affection or love. While these concepts may arouse their interest or seem amusing to them, the closest they know is the feeling of warmth, pleasure or pain. Hedonism allows them to simulate these feelings, and to accept the basest roots of humanity.
