From childhood onward, Momoko had always been a dreamer- after all, growing up between the pages of storybooks and fantasy novels leaves much to the imagination. She was born and raised in the flourishing town of Aurelia, spending her days assisting customers and helping her grandfather run his childhood dream, Aurelia Athenaeum, the largest library in the Firefly Valley region. Built on the back of her dear pops, the Athenaeum was his prized possession, his years of collecting books and his desire to share them with the world finally materializing into his most beloved project at the time- that was until Momoko was born. After her arrival into the world, he wanted nothing more than to share his interests with her, the young girl holding onto the loops of his jeans as they toured the large expanse of literary wilds. It was in that library that she fell in love with stories of fantasy worlds and creatures, daydreaming of her own stories and worlds.

By the time her grandfather was ready to return and pass on his legacy, Momoko was in high school, hoping to go to college and become a professional writer, assuming that her mother would gladly take the library off her grandfather's hands. However, her mother was less than interested in the thought of taking over the library and more interested in her private businesses than her grandfather's legacy. So, logically, her grandfather then offered it to Momoko, who accepted the offer with fervor. To this day, Momoko runs Aurelia Athenaeum with the help of her assistant Luna. The two of them are a perfect team, always picking up after the other when one of them gets too deep into their daydreams.
