traits: August Burns Red is the darker side of a set of twins. His sister, Sashay, is a Light and she is the only Light that he tolerates, pretty much. He likes to torment, but he still sometimes feels guilt and works hard to keep his thoughts under control and his emotions, that way he doesn't have to worry about hearing his sister's voice inside his head whenever he makes a kill or hurt someone. He's found that the more foul the murder, the easier it is to block out his better half, so he makes every kill as bloody as he can. He does, however, really love his twin and would never to anything to hurt her. August Burns Red's favorite season is summer because he loves hot weather and the way his pelt looks, all glossy and sleek. He tends to be a little cocky and conceited at times, but knows when to show respect and knock his bull shit off.

history: He was born to two Lights who ruled their own kingdom very far away from Wild Equines. His mother was a very energetic minx. His mother also wanted her daughter (his twin sister Sashay) to use her beauty to get what she wanted from stallions. He was always annoyed because his father was out constantly getting mares pregnant. He was always very close to Sashay though. The twins were the best of friends. Before he was exiled, he noticed Sashay growing more and more listless. And then, all of a sudden his father exiled him from the herd. Not long after, he realized how much he disagreed with the Light ways. Killing was more his game. He always felt so guilty every time he thought of his sweet, loving sister. Each and every time he wanted to kill, he saw an image of her.... what she would think of him for becoming the monster that he was. And then he ended up here, to wreak havoc on Wild Equines.

While out making a kill one day in the Free Lands, something he had made a habit of doing, he came across the scent of his long lost twin sister. Forgetting all about being covered in blood, he followed the scent trail, following it all the way to a Dark land, the Graveyard of Bones. At first, he had not even noticed the other stallion standing there, too shocked by the sudden finding of his twin. He only took notice of the other brute, Red Prince (Kal), when he spoke, asking who August was. The two exchanged some harsh words but Sashay pleaded with them not to fight and, always one to want to make his sister happy, August let it go. Sashay was also pregnant with Red Prince's (Kal) foal at the time, who she ended up giving birth to then. Thread (WE2).

He soon met up with Lucifer and Necropolis and became a part of Carnevale Letale working for the Cabals as a whore guard. When the Cabals all left he became just a regular guard for the land. When the empire did finally fall apart, he headed out on his own.
