Personality: Vihaan is a cheerful but shy Transmutation Student at the northern college of Rheshok GCM. He will do whatever he can to make money, and whatever he can to keep it (though wouldn't go so far as to steal). He wants to go through school and use his skills as a wizard to help others. He's baby.

Character Backstory: 

Vihaan Ilmatermurti, eldest son of Sai and Kamala Ilmatermurti, grew up in a house constantly filled with people of faith. His father, Sai, held the noble title of Proxy. He served as religious head of the town and spokesperson for Ilmater himself. Vihaan's family had been responsible for providing the Proxy since the community's inception, and it was something that was seen as both an honor and a privilege. While Vihaan was, like most others in the town, a believer in Ilmater, he began to show a different skillset from a young age. While social, he did not have a particularly domineering presence, and his insatiable curiosity got him into trouble often. However, when his younger sisters were born, he became responsible for taking care of them due to his mother and father's busy schedules. Vihaan took his responsibilities seriously, but while he loved his sisters, he resented the cage that being responsible for them forced him into. As time passed, he continually showed disinterest in following in his father's footsteps as proxy, and instead delved into studying the arcane, connecting in particular with the school of Transmutation. Upon coming of age, Vihaan politely refused the position of Proxy and insisted that he be allowed to attend University outside of the settlement. While disappointed, his parents ultimately allowed him to pursue this path. Despite their high ranking in the town, the family was not particularly wealthy (particularly taking into account Vihaan's six younger siblings) and so Vihaan found work wherever he could. After a year, with the combined funds from scholarships and various odd jobs, he was finally able to attend University. He still works part time doing mail delivery to ensure he can continue to attend, but now prioritizes his studies above all else.

The small community of Inmil would be considered odd for many reasons, the most odd of which would be its chosen diety of worship. While the nation of Vorati revolves around the worship of Kor and Jan, light and dark, a few scattered settlements such as Inmil have chosen other beings of worship. The settlement was established 200 years ago after the mass exodus of a large settlement to the north due to famine. The group traversed the northern mountains where the cold and continued famine took countless lives. Many pleaded to a being called Ilmater, known as a protector of the suffering, for help. Eventually, the few remaining survivors found themselves in Vorati, and they soon found rich soil prime for farming. The newly established community thrived despite their hardships, and among many things, brought with them their pantheon. The community dedicated themselves to Ilmater, believing that he was responsible for aiding them. The town grew and in present day is a unique cultural gem in the heart of Vorati. Few know of the city but those who do praise it for its kind people and delicious food. To this day Ilmater is the sole diety worshiped in the settlement of Inmil.
