Fam tried to make him be a proper druid, kid liked civilisation too much, and Nature keeps giving him shit for it. Channeling magic for too long causes his body to start plantifying but it's fine guys, just be sure to water him. It'll fall off eventually, makes a good starter for a new garden, or fresh herbs and mushrooms for cooking with. Maybe that's why he always smells like a roast dinner?

Pass times include making seed bombs, messing up neat hedges, and having lunch with the local vermin. The pigeons see some interesting stuff, and the rats know how to sneak into the best spots to cause a huge tree to sprout up in.

A spirit of nature follows him around, going by the name Magnolia. Most of the time it's a cat. Sometimes a magpie. But always the spirit is a tell for how Eli is really feeling, a lashing tail or an annoyed fluff of feathers at odds with whatever smile and laugh Eli is giving.

One time he got turned into a cute potted aloe vera. He's mostly back to normal fleshy human, though sometimes he gets cut and it's not blood that comes out. Elijah isn't quite sure how long he was a plant but hey, he's here now! If anyone asks, he's totally 25 years old.
