Profile

a second generation dragon, born from the first generation dragon that hatched in Drachenhöhle, Austria. joris was never built for the showy dynamic between dragon and knight that came with the era he was born into. he was simply too laidback, too casual, to play the role of an ever-powerful, hostile dragon. he didn’t ask for much, simply to be left alone in his cave home in peace.
nonetheless, he was forced into the lifestyle the humans had played out for him. armed warriors would march into his home, only to be chased out by the fury of his talons and flames. he never meant to make enemies, but he ended up doing so, anyway. dragons are, after all, a massive burden on the local ecosystem, and to hunt these nuisances for sport is a sure-fire way to be titled a hero. thankfully, joris was strong, and managed to keep most out.
this lifestyle resumed for most of his life, until one particular human approached him with an offer. the young man would point him to a witch, so that he could gain a spell to turn him into a much smaller humanoid. that way, he would no longer be a threat to the humans! in return, all the man asked him was to teach him how to swordfight. it was the perfect deal.

years passed, and joris learned that even if he were small and non-threatening, the humans still would not accept him in their midst. so instead, he got a little more acquainted with the witch that gave him his new appearance: janine. though the carefree being was never of too much use to the development of the city, his status as a dragon managed to get him quite the connections with the higher-ups in the mythos world. ilis would be gritting her teeth in envy!
now, joris lives an easy-going life. though the city has erected statues in his honor, joris never has been the type for fame. his extremely lax attitude surprises most people, for despite his power, despite his fame, ol’ joris finds himself wanting to do nothing but fish with his buds ’till the sun goes down. simple minds, simple pleasures, i suppose.
