Libby Davis

Liberty Davis was 7 years old when society collapsed in Rowan. She and her father were some of the first to end up taking refuge in the mall, and he ended becoming a sort of leader of the group of survivors. Despite the circumstances, her childhood was, for the most part as safe as the adults could make it, and she grew into a well-adjusted adult with the survival skills necessary for life after the end. She often stayed by her father’s side during group meetings, assisted him during risk-free work for the survivors. He wouldn’t be around forever, and he wanted somebody he trusted to be his successor. Libby knew this, and was happy to do so, but hoped that day wouldn’t come. We don’t all get our wishes. 

It’s been weeks since Dad headed out on his last supply run, and he hasn’t came back. He should have only taken hours- everyone’s pretty certain he’s never coming home. All of Rowan Mall’s eyes are on Liberty. She’s got some big shoes to fill, and it’s getting harder to cover up the anxiety that thought brings with her usual cool, calm exterior.
