Skyrim, on the brink of civil war, needs a hero and one has arrived: the legendary dragonborn, able to use the powers of a dragon and bend the world to their will...or so the people are saying. Isole knows it's all bs. People here in the north are so quick to believe ridiculous things, like that Isole's intimidating shouts are "thu'ums" or that Skyrim should only be populated by nords. What utter nonsense! Isole is a woman of science and magic and she doesn't have time to waste on these fools. Sure, thralls may flee at her voice, but they're cave dwellers unused to loud volumes, it's a scientific tactic.

History

Isole's parents were traveling merchants; she grew up in the human empire, far from other argonians. She considers herself a citizen of Cyrodiil, where she attended university and graduated with a history degree and a minor in sociocultural anthroplogy. After earning a doctorate she stayed there for some years as an associate professor. She decided to head to Skyrim, where there were (presumably) fewer tenured history professors and a less competitive job market. Unfortunately Isole was arrested on false charges during her journey and her books and letter of recommendations went up in dragon-caused flames.

Frusterated, she headed to the college of mages in Winterhold, but without her paperwork they misinterpreted her aims and enrolled her as a student. Another preposterous move on the part of the northerners, she figured. It only took her a week or so to prove that she was the most capable mage on campus and they summarily appointed her the dean, which was not her goal. Isole threw up her hands, grabbed a student as a research assistant, and headed off to write a paper on the Greybeards, a secretive sect of...well, no one knew, they were a secret. Luckily they'd invited Isole to come. The opportunity of a lifetime! In between killing cultists, assassins, and vampires, Isole hadn't gotten any good research done in Skyrim.

Abilities

An accomplished mage, Isole specializes in healing and ice magic. She can use pretty much anything though. It all comes in handy. She likes magic shields, they're great. She also happens to be a seer. Isole gets vague feelings of "go here, it's important" or "talk to this person, it'll help" that she chalks up to subconscious knowledge. Very scientific! Divination isn't a real magic field! This is 100% the only reason she's successful at lockpicking.
