Ivy Dew
ABOUT
Ivy is a nature witch with her magic ability being able to grow flowers, fruits, and other herbs she sells at her family’s flower shop. While "plant control" is the official term for her kind of magic, Ivy prefers that her magic is known for helping plants grow bigger and stronger. Tending to her garden is very relaxing to her and is an escape from her duties at her store, which her parents often leave her in charge of while they travel the world for exotic plants.

PERSONALITY
Ivy tends to be very introverted and soft spoken. She has social anxiety, making it hard for her to work her flower shop all by herself. She does feel more comfortable when asked for advice on plants, which she could talk for hours about. She is very passionate about her garden, yet she only has a few people who will visit.
BACKSTORY
About
Ivy has always lived in Faibrooke. She comes from a long line of gardeners and florists and hopes to continue the tradition. She has always been very shy, usually tending her garden or practicing her embroidery. Working the counter at her family's flower shop is not her first choice for her job, but when her parents travel out of town, that is usually what ends up happening. And it happens a lot.
About Her Vines
Ivy's family has a generational curse, meaning that their curse doesn't have a well known cure and will be inherited with varying degrees of strength. Ivy's vines are a part of this curse. Many generations ago, Ivy's ancestor was messing around with a way to make plants go faster. However, one of the spells “backfired" and left them with vines growing out of their skin. The offspring of their children were also born with vines, and thus began the family curse.
RELATIONSHIPS
Stormie came to town looking for a job, and Ivy desperletly needed someone to work the cashier. At first, they did not get along. Stormie is very impacient and it would stress Ivy out. Eventually, they learned to work together and the two started to fall in love. Ivy used to be very flustered around her, but now is a lot more affectionate. She also loves to give her girlfriend flowers and the two walk around the river during breaks. Ivy has said she is willing to go to concerts with Stormie, despite hating large crowds and loud noises.
Astrid was Ivy's first real friend. Despite their failed attempt at dating, the two of them have remained very good friends. The two are able to tell eachother everything, but ever since Astrid got back, Ivy feels like he is hiding something. Ivy also helps Astrid with his potion attempts, usually providing herbs or other ingrediants. In return, Astrid helps get rid of any dragons that have gotten into her garden.
Melody has painted in Ivy's shop and garden multiple times. They both agree that her garden is one of the most relaxing places in Faibrooke, especially because it's so hidden and quiet. Melody always shows Ivy her newest paintings, especially when the subject is some sort of plant. Ivy is also trying to learn sign language to communicate with her.
