Cain was born into a very small religious sect known as The Lost. They roam the towns of Riav, spreading their sermon and using their wanderings to constantly push their bodies and minds to the brink, as they believe that suffering is the only way to obtain forgiveness, eternal peace, and enlightenment.
The Lost view the Rot, a mysterious plague ravaging the continent of Enthir, as a message sent from the heavens. To become infected, or as the group calls it, "found", is the final step in reaching the perfect, purest death. Cain had a different name, originally, but like all others he was baptized when he came of age with the blood of those found, and given a new name to symbolize the start of his journey towards a beautiful death.
Cain is 6'5, muscular, and has broad shoulders. He has short, grey hair with fluffy bangs and pale eyes. His body is littered with scars from self-inflicted (or inflicted by other Lost) wounds, mostly superficial. He wears the same outfit as anyone in his group: white linen shirt, white linen pants, and a long white hooded cloak. He wears black beads around his neck and walks barefoot. There is a faded black tattoo around his neck, what it symbolizes, who knows. Around his waist is a leather belt, for various pouches holding small knives, general survival tools, and one much more curious item. He is incredibly religious and devoted to his belief. He likes talking with others and doesn't hold it against them for resisting his belief system, because he knows the truth of what will happen to us all.
