Jinx

A character originally created for an assignment that I grew attached to.
He is inspired and intended to look like a platforming mascot character from the PS2 era.

Growing up in a small village hidden in an oasis in the desert, Jinx grew up as an apprentice to the towns elder witch.
Eventually he grew bored of his sheltered lifestyle, wondering why he was being taught so much magic and world history but was not allowed beyond the oasis' bounds.
In a cruel twist of fate, his desire to explore the world and test his skills was fulfilled when an ancient evil was awakened, shrouding the town in a shadow, freezing the towns villagers into stone and taking the elder witch hostage.
Jinx took it upon himself to leave his comfort zone and explore the surrounding world, looking for answers, destroying the great evils underlings with his magic, solving puzzles in an ancient world and eventually saving the day.
