Veronika is an awesome squid kid with a ferocious attitude and aggressive personality!! They are nonbinary, and use all pronouns. They thoroughly enjoy turf wars, because she gets to be as messy as possible, knowing they wont have to clean up after!! Veronika is a pretty artistic and well-reserved inkling normally, but when friends are around, all hell breaks lose. While he is known pretty well around Inkopolis, Veronika likes to stay away from crowds since they make them claustrophobic. They also prefer having their small group of really close friends, while still having others but keeping them at a distance. She doesn't like putting her trust in many people due to severe abandonment issues. She has also had terrible past experiences with open water like the ocean, and prefers to stay as far away from them as possible. This is especially funny since he loves the beach!! Veronika's hobbies include: making art, participating in turf and ranked wars, listening to music, sleeping, cooking/baking (sometimes!), doing makeup, and studying anatomy (just to look at peoples insides hehe)

Ever since they were a small squid, Veronika has loved art. They started like any other child with scribbling and fingerpainting, but by age 7, V started studying the basics of realism. By age 13 she was nearly a master of realism and was painting portraits that looked incredibly similar to photographs. Veronika generally enjoys cartoonish drawings more, but feels most satisfied with himself when testing their realism skills. Drawing and painting are the only skills V believes they are truly capable of mastering.
Doing makeup
Veronika started doing their own makeup at age 13, starting out with more basic looks. As time went on, they began experimenting more and began to do more complex and dramatic looks. Within the past few months, he has been putting her skills to the test and began heavy stage makeup that many would consider "excessive" or "scary". While she isn't perfect at makeup, they strive to improve and never forgets to have fun with every look they do!
Cooking/Baking
For the most part, Veronika has always loved eating. She was always the squid who liked "weird" foods ever since they were a baby! Occasionally, they try their hand at cooking. Apart from simple family recipes taught to her by their parents, Veronika's culinary skills are definitely... uh... in need of some work. They haven't burned down their house yet, but he for sure needs a little more than practice. Baking is a lot easier for them, so they usually stick with that if they don't get too frustrated.

Veronika has always had a good childhood!! while she developed pretty bad anger issues the older she got, she learned how to have self control and stay calm. in some situations, they couldnt hold it in, and thats still the same now, but they have gotten better! at a young age, Veronika had lots of friends in school. once elementary school ended, many ties were broken and people left Veronika. she couldn't make a lot of them stay which led her to put very little trust in anyone, and a very clingy behavior. she almost lost her best friend at the beach when some waves caught her and she almost drowned. Veronika blamed herself for the incident, but their friend knew it wasn't their fault. either way, Veronika is terrified of the ocean due to that trauma.
Life is getting more stressful and work is piling up for poor Veronika, and loads of other squid and octo kids!! with stress levels rising, its hard for this enby to stay happy, but theyre trying their best. Veronika has been sleeping an extra lot and has been eating less, which unfortunately is making her stress worse. they told themselves they would never go back to their awful and unhealthy habits, but its hard :(
Details
Veronika can be pretty shy but is overall very competitive and playful. She doesnt have a lot of friends, but is popular as a result of her behavior. They thoroughly enjoy loud, fast music. He has a resting bitch face lol, and is lowkey judgemental at first. He has a weird gore obsession too, but very few people know about it. She is also left handed.
The things they like include: graphic shows and video games, making art (especially paintings and calligraphy), turf wars, and Marie and Marina (has huge crushes on them haha) The things they dislike include: homophobes, sexists, racists, etc., any type of cheese, cold weather, people who dont know when to shut up

Akechi is Veronika's best friend!! They met in school about 8 years ago in a club and hit it off immediately. While they were a little shy at first, they soon got more comfortable with each other. They did all sorts of club tasks together which helped them learn how to work as a team. They started doing turf wars together and won whenever they got put on the same team. That's all I can say about that, the rest is history... ;)
