Her name means "sunflower" in Hawaiian. She's based off of the song You Are My Sunshine by Johnny Cash.

Nanala is incredibly supportive of growth, whether it's of her plants, herself, or other kalons. She wants to see everything flourish and get the best of out life. Instead of having a green thumb, she's considered to have a "golden thumb" - partially because of her skills and because of the literal yellow glow around her front paw.
