Abbaba

Abbaba is Habba (the leader)'s pet. However, Abbaba is as smart as its 'owner'...
That still doesn't say much because in a thousand years the Habba species hasn't evolved In The Slightest, but it's worth to take note of.

Abbaba is part of a rather rare burrowing species and is the only one living within the Habba territory. It, much like all species in this dimension, is blind. It navigates around by sensing vibrations with its fur, the feelers on its snout or combing the air with its feather-like tongue. Abbaba likes being spoiled and all the affection it gets and thus always stayed rather close to its 'owner' for cuddles.

Then one day something shook the earth beneath them so voilently that the old burrows underneath a part of the habba village collapsed and Abbaba and Habba got separated. Alone and scared, Abbaba got lost in the old burrows of his species in attempts to get back home.

The main gang later helps reunite the Habba leader with Abbaba.
