Adoril is a man of few words. He would much rather listen to others carefully than talk about himself or his interests. He travels with his boyfriend Sorual throughout Erinn, helping him in his adventures and protecting the reckless explorer. Sorual may be smart but has a tendency to get tunnel vision when he is engrossed in something and not notice his surroundings. He loves his hometown of Vales. It is quiet and isolated with a very close-knit community. He is a trained warrior of the sword and shield and is very proficient in their uses.
History
Adoril was born in Vales and like most giant children was trained in the way of the warrior.Adoril was raised in traditional Vales fashion and was trained in combat from a young age. he became a master of the sword and shield at a very young age and showed promise of being one of the strongest warriors that Vales had to offer. At the age of 15 he undertook his coming of age challenge/ceremony and completed it with more ease than any other resident of Vales. Despite his strict warrior training he prefered to spend his downtime listening to his oldest sister play music and tell him stories that she had read in books. She instilled strong morals in him and encouraged him to ignore the strong intollerance that their race had for elves. He was content in staying in Vales as one of the elite warriors but had a chance encounter with an elf around his age who had become caught in an altercation with some of the village guards. Adoril knocked him out and rescued him. When the elf awoke, the two talked and felt an instant connection with one another. The elf was Sorual, an avid explorer who was venturing through the land of giants in order to map the region. Adoril made the descision to accompany him on his journey and bid farewell to his sisters and mother and left.
Family
Adoril is the second youngest in his family and the only boy. He has one sister that is younger than him (Suleika) and 2 older sisters (Victoli and Astridr). His father left his family shortly before Suleika was born. His mother enlisted the help of Adoril's oldest sister Astridr in raising him and his siblings since she was the oldest and had the compassion and patience of someone well beyond her years.
Occupation
Though he was raised and trained as a warrior of Vales, nowadays his skills are put to use in protecting himself and Sorual on their journey across Erinn. He is very skilled at the use of most weapons including the traditional ranged weapon of Vales, the atlatl. He prefers the comfort of the sword and tower shield for most combat though
Sorual
[ Boyfriend ]
Adoril and Sorual met in Vales when Sorual had gotten stopped by the village guard. Adoril lacked the normal racism towards elves that was common in his village and took Sorual prison, knocking him out and getting him to his home. The two talked at length and Sorual's words of the world made Adoril feel a wanderlust he had never felt and an attraction he hadn't felt to any other giant. The two continued their journey deepinging their feelings for each other.
Astridr
[ Older sister ]
Astridr is Adoril's oldest sister and sort of a mother figure to him since she raised him and his sister's alongside their mother Barbara. She taught him everything he knew about the world outside of Vales, literature, music and cooking. Adoril learned it all with enthusiasm and credits her as the reason that him and Sorual are together.
Victoli
[ Older sister ]
Victoli is Adoril's older sister by a few years. She is brash and energetic and although her and Adoril were never close emotionally they share a competitive warrior bond.
