Rune

Rune has dedicated his life to studying the secrets and magic of Kel Del, just like his ancestors have since Akriri were first around, and is particuarly interested in observing and studying corrupted folk. Rune's horn makes him come off as corrupt to others, but it's said that it actually formed from an overload of magic upon receiving his staff after his parents passed, and has since then he added more crystals to the staff to make it more stable. Despite not actually being corrupt, people find Rune insane nonetheless.

His staff is important since the magic within it has been passed down his family line. It was tradition for the previous Birdfolk parents when near death to transfer their remaining magic/soul into the current object that'll be passed down to their child (it wasn't originally the staff, as more magic was added it needed to be transfered to objects more capable of holding it all and/or suitable to the current Birdfolk's taste).

Today Rune lives in an old, tall, sturdy tree which stands above/leads to an underground base that holds the knowledge and research of his ancestors. He houses his young friend/personal guard, Fanelia.

Birdfolk/Akriri are a closed species by Kel-Del.
