Prairie Lovelock

2nd eldest child in the Lovelock family, but not often counted as she is an illegitimate one. 

It's been so long now that nobody is sure which of the parents messed up, and nobody really wants to ask. Either way someone slept with a fox shapeshifter, and they got stuck with her.
They for the most part didn't want to take care of her, so a lot of the chores regarding her fell to her older brother Marion.

She's incredibly close with her older brother, one of the only people allowed to call him Marion, trusted with the information that he only liked men, did her best to keep that secret, and went with him after he murdered their father and ran.
They ended up living on a small ranch, which Prairie runs on her own with her brother gone off to London for a job that would pay him well.

She has a nick in her right ear from their father nearly trying to cut it off. Her brother convinced him that her fox features would help them to keep predators away from the livestock. She did help immensely with that at least, and kept her ears hidden by a sunhat and her tail tucked away into the fluff of her dresses.
