PROFILE

Though reserved and quiet, Omni is a single human who is given the access of knowledge and technology. Of course, his single human body is limited to the power given to him, but he uses this ability well against his enemies.

He struggles with the exchange of achieving knowledge with losing his ability to express emotions. It hindered most of his abilities to even socialize normally with those around him. However, his recent encounter with a young, bright girl gave him a second chance at that.

Along with protecting his partner, he joins the Coalition in hopes to be able to find someone who is capable of bringing back the feelings he longed for years. Or perhaps he'll find a way himself.

PERSONALITY

Omni is a silent observer who has capabilities of tolerating anything. And he rarely speaks to anyone who is a stranger to him, and only converses to those he is close to. Sometimes people find him seemingly mute, but rather he only speaks when it is necessary. Despite his personal displeasure for conflict, Omni aspires to protect his loved ones and home by the help of his brain; the a mind capable to understand "all". He is a sturdy giant who seeks to gently support and guide his people. Since he struggles to express himself vocally, he believes his actions will speak for him. Omni is self conscious of his stoic visage since it often frightens others and causes unwarranted misconceptions of his integrity.

Story

Trivia

  • Due to several procedures of cybernetic implants inside his body, he lost almost all of his ability to express any emotions during the process.
    > Has a hard time expressing emotions, hence he always speaks out what he's supposedto be feeling.
    > His lack of emotions are always the reason why he often gets into fights with miscreants.
    > Emphasis on almost; the only emotion he can express is pain and exhaustion.
  • "Project 15" is one of the series of experiments where they've used cybernetic technology as the emphasis for human development and evolution.
    > Omni took part of this project as a willing experiment, where his own body and brain becomes a computer-like entity and an eventual tool for cybernetic advancement. Otherwise the body itself becomes a weapon.
    > Omni is the only man to survive during the Project 15 phase; however scientist confirmed him to be a failed test subject in the end. Then the higher-ups decided to abandon all research of cybernetic-modifications of humans and turn to robotic development and genetic modification.

    > Omni old name is Octavio. However, he lost most of his memories when he used that alias.
  • Omni fights with two large robotic hands that float besides him. They are remotely controlled by a device (his gloves) that mimic the exact movements of his own two hands.
  • During a mission, sometimes Omni will finish the mission barely naked.
    > Wearing clothes (even his pants and underwear) will restrict his performance in battle or other things. Mainly because clothes constrict the circuits embedded under his skin.
    > Omni would not notice unless the others point it out.
  • Sometimes clueless or doesn't realize that the world is moving around him when he's tinkering with something.
    > You can strike his back or whack him on the head and he wouldn't even notice.
  • Not only he cannot express emotions, but sometimes cannot pick up certain social cues because of it.
    > Literally cannot process the amount of times REO has confessed to him and it irritates her to no end.
  • In his spare time, he will work on his motorcycle that he built out of spare parts he finds in junkyards.
    > Overtime it's been upgraded to do tremendous amount of work and Omni often uses it during his missions.

Project # 15 Origin

Octavio was a gifted child became a researcher in the field of modern technology at a very young age. He is a willing participant in partaking in one of the projects in the Cybernetics department.

Among all the test subjects in the Project #15, this particular subject was the only one to survive the procedure of implemented cybernetic into his brain and his body. However, the subject's mind almost deteriorated during the process and the subject lost at least 40% of his memories, alongside the abilities to express human emotions. Before carrying on any further procedures, the Worldwide Bureau of Science (WBS) marked the project as a failure and immediately decided to turn their focus on robotics and artificial intelligence. Subject #15 (Octavio) was given an opportunity to work in a Laboratory but ran away to the Junkyard Outskirts as soon he discovered the Project's abandonment

To earn extra money to be able to maintain his cybernetics implanted into his body, he finds himself working in an agency that requires' Omni's several projects. A lot of it includes heavy weapon machinery and defense mechanism that help defend himself.

Relationships

R E O

Omni, at first recognized REO as a boy when he took shelter in his mechanic workshop. At the start the mechanic only felt pity for REO, who only wanted to escape from her pursuers from the facility she grew up in. Despite she was free to go, Rem felt much safer if she remained in the shop and was more willing to help if he granted her a place to stay in the shop.

And the longer she stayed in the shop, Omni felt more and more appreciative of her staying. In fact, she quickly began to understand the social cues Omni would give out as a way to communicate and wanted to stay by her side so he wouldn't be alone any longer.

Despite Omni is aware of Rem's feelings towards him, he finds reasonably difficult to return them kindly as he feels the same. It drives REO insane that Omni couldn't pick up her cues, but Omni is working hard enough to find the ability to express his emotions before he could confess to her. Otherwise, whenever anyone else seems interested in the girl, Omni grows jealous and tries to cleverly push away his rivals.

Skip

Omni and REO discovered Skip during one of their missions and through the help of the mechanic's knowledge, he awakens the inactive robot inside a isolated room. However, Omni didn't awaken a robot, but a human test experiment that was currently in a comatose state and has not woken up for a whole month. In their stead, an artificial intelligence known as Skip would be the one piloting the suit and hopes that they could take his master somewhere safer instead in the hands of the the scientists who planned to kill off the individual in the suit.

Programmed to protect their master, Skip proceeds to follow Omni and REO until they entered the Coalition. Skip enters the fray and often partakes in helping both Omni and REO whenever they need a helping hand.

Titan

Omni recognized Titan as an old subject that has supposedly gone "haywire." And as a willing subject, he was sent to intercept Titan as a way to test his abilities. Titan was easy enough to apprehend and was sent into a facility for a few years.

However, that was a couple of years ago and Omni meets Titan again when they joined the Coalition. Fairly uncertain whether or not Omni was going to survive with him as his leader, Cobalt spares the mechanic but is still hesitant to trust him in the long run. Even if it was Omni was the one who helped him escape the facility he was imprisoned in. Regardless, Titan gives him a hard time every time they work together, but REO tries to ease the tension between them so that Omni wouldn't have to stress his body out constantly.

Cyan Hyde

In short, Cyan Hyde hates Omni. However, no matter how much emotional or physical pain he inflicts on him for vengeful purposes, Omni never seems to budge. And that pisses off Hyde even more. Even if he's thankful for helping the Agency by saving Titan and bringing him back - he's still against the fact that he's part of the group now. Cyan Hyde didn't realize that Omni was the Test Subject that intercepted Titan's attack and threw him into prison, leaving Cyan Hyde to his lonesome and leading the Coalition while Cobalt was absent.

Hyde struggles treating him as part of the group - often trying to one-up Omni when he doesn't even put any effort into making him mad or jealous. However, despite that both him and REO became friends, Omni becomes self conscious about their relationship - making Omni almost inseparable from Rem whenever Cyan Hyde is around.
