Once human, in an age even she can barely remember, Cressida's soul was transferred upon death into the body she now inhabits by her lord, Ouroboros. For an act of courage in her life, showing her aptitude for time magic, she was made his avatar-- she was to be his source of influence without he himself ever having to leave the realm he inhabited, and the arrangement worked quite well for several thousand years until an incident with an outside source would seal her lord's power, causing her to make an important journey with the heroes that would help her set the world back into order. Cressida is an often taciturn woman, constantly prodded and teased about what is deemed as an overly-motherly way of handling herself. She is quiet and dignified, but not without her faults. Behind the cool mask is someone easily irritated by childishness or horseplay, which often leads to her scolding or plucking the hairs of those participating in it. She is kind, but she is also timeless-- she has lost touch with what made her human all those years ago, and seeks her own answers while trying to help the heroes she watches over seek theirs.
