Cecilia

Story in progress~

Cecilia is more of a Frankenstein than a zombie. Her creator was aiming to resurrect his late daughter when he made Cecilia. Unfortunately, he met his demise the very night he succeeded in doing so. The electricity needed to jumpstart her heart ended up hitting him as well in a freak accident, resulting in his death.

After seeing smoke coming from the mansion, the police and firemen arrived. Upon meeting Cecelia, they were both amazed and horrified to find that the notoriously crazed old man had actually succeeded. They reluctantly offered her shelter, which she refused. The following day the local government dispatched an older witch to assess the estate and deal with paperwork and assets belonging to the late scientist. Cecilia was deemed an heiress and somehow ended up with his entire estate, and thus a mansion all to herself. As the witch spent a rather long time at the mansion, the two became friendly. Taking pity on Cecilia, the Witch secretly cast a light intelligence spell on her to fix her slurred and slow speech. Thanks to that she can carry on conversation more easily, but her knowledge of many things is still lacking. Her overall intelligence is that of a child, she speaks properly, but is very naive and clueless. Also very gullible.

Every so often the old witch comes to visit Cecilia. She sometimes reads books to her or talks about magical research...some of which is somewhat questionable but Cecilia doesn't know that anyway.

Thanks to the witch's spell, Cecilia is also able to read. She spends a lot of time perusing the library in her (new) home and reading a lot of the scientist's journals. She doesn't understand much of it, but she finds herself oddly interested in the sections about the man himself...
