Purple Agate

Purple Agate was a homeworld general during the war, with a small company of fighters. Under her command was the gem Aquamarine, who was a messenger between her and soldiers when they got separated.

Near the end of the war, the signal to retreat was broadcast and Aqua didn't come back.

Agate got worried. She sent the rest of her troops off, keeping an escape pod for herself and the other gem, and went in search.

She found Aqua in a human village, surrounded by piles of books, wonder in their eyes. Agate called to them, but was ignored.

She glanced at the sky, and saw what was to happen. Quickly, she drew her cutlass, and with a yelled apology, poofed and bubbled the blue gem. It wasn't even a minute when the sky changed, a sound and a light.....

Agate was corrupted with everyone else.

Her mission and instincts made her protect Aqua's bubble until the crystal gems came.

When she was poofed by the crystal gems, Aqua stepped in to protect her, risking their own life.

Now, Agate lives with Aqua, mostly poofed and in a little blue bubble, though sometimes the other gem lets her out. Agate is one of the tamer corruptions, with years of Aqua's attempts at helping her starting to make a difference.

Aqua reads her books and stories, and Agate tries not to eat the cats.
