Altair is a very kind hearted and shy boy living on the forested island of Howling Oaks. In his slow paced, but peaceful world he spends his days writing letters for his sweetheart, Vega, while helping his adoptive grandparents run a little bakery. A long standing favorite for many of the island inhabitants, the family bakery specializes in crafting a wide variety of magic imbued desserts that cast minor spells when consumed.
Though all of Howling Oaks residents have the ability to use some kind of magic, Altair is the only one on the island known to posses latent talent in creation magic. Thanks to his growing skill and gentle heart the island is able to thrive.
Although Altair cares deeply for his friends and family he can’t help but dream of life in the bustling city where Vega lives. He practices his magic everyday in hopes that eventually the island he calls home will be able to exist without him. Then, when he feels free from guilt, he will set sail for the mainland where Vega is waiting for him.
