Venny

Venny can never really remember much about his childhood. All there are is fragments of what there used to be, things like the lab and the few good moments with his father. He was born a normal child into a not-so-normal family, his mother leaving his father when he was really young. Venny's father, Veteris, was keen on messed up experiments in the lab; Venny becoming a subject of those experiments eventually.

The Experiment

Venny could never remember his original name. Perhaps it was always what he had been called since he remembered, Project 001. Venny's life went from living semi-normally to living in a lab, hooked up to multiple machines in a large container full of some liquid. Those times were the worst, he had no idea what the experiments were for; nobody spoke to him directly. Nobody other than Dusk, at least. Dusk kept him going, they were a great friend who promised him they would help him escape someday. While it kept Venny hopeful, all changed once that fated day would finally come.

It began as a normal day, nothing new to Venny. He couldn't move anyways, or speak, or do anything else; then everything went dark. He felt burning in his back, as if his bones were shifting, and he sprouted wings. Blood spread through the tank containing him, and while he was unable to scream, he flailed wildly. He found his strength that day, a newfound strength within him from these wings. He destroyed the thing containing him and was able to escape, with the help of Dusk. To this day, he refuses to speak casually of the incident, and he still has yet to figure out what truly happened.
