Basics
Sugar Magic
Depending on his state of consciousness and emotional state, his physical build will appear different. Although he will look and sound different, he himself mentally and his physical capabilities do not change. With his Sugar Magic he has 3 subsequent forms:
Base
His base form is how he appears without magic/when he's not using it. He's only usually seen in this form when he is unconscious, nausious, or too exhausted to continue using his Sugar Magic.
Default
His default form is how he'd like to be most all the time. Thus if he doesn't have to be in his base or child form he's usually in his default form.
Child
His child form manifests when he feels lost. Such examples include lost in thought, anxiety, and Costco. He doesn't particularly dislike this form but it can be inconvenient because of his height.

About
Personality
A chaotic bastard if he doesn't have to act his age. He's well trusted not because he doesn't tell lies, but because he's notoriously bad at them. While he's in public he tries to keep cheery air about him and actively tries to deescalate conflict or aggression.
Backstory
Nori grew up in a lowerclass family. His parents went to get jobs as sugar miners while he stayed home to get his education and help his grandpa run the family Dagashiya (Cheap kid's candy shop). Near the end of his highschool years, he had to drop out of highschool to get odd jobs to keep his grandpa's shop afloat after his parents suddenly disappeared.
Ever since then, he's worked just about any job he could get his hands on. At some point he landed a job as a security guard at a museum and beat the shit out of some guy who was trying to steal a priceless piece of history. Ever since then, he's been able to get security guard/ body guard gigs from word of mouth to help sustain his and his grandpa's livings.
Thanks to his work, he's able to live a middle class lifestyle but still remains living on the second story of their Dagashiya.
Misc Information
- His mouth scar is from one of his security guard gigs. There was a cannibal break in and they ripped off a sugar marking he had just to the left of his mouth. They almost gouged out his eyes too so now on more dangerous jobs he wears mask over his eyes. He also can't use straws anymore so he has to eat boba with his hands.
Ever since the run in, he's been curious about cannibals. He doesn't quite understand why people would taste good enough to break the law to eat. However, he can never quite forget the adrenaline high he was on when his cheek was ripped off and unwillingly wishes for a similar experience though preferable one with less long lasting inconveniences. - Because he changes in size, he tries to wear clothing that can change in size. Thus he wears a lot of stretchy fabrics, crop tops, and shorts. His shoes also have velcro straps to make them adjustable. Simlarly, his shorts are pleated like a hakama to accomodate size changes.
- He carries pocket candy with him all the time. He both has them to snack on frequently and also to just give people. On a similar vain of thought, he doesn't remember people by their face or name very well. However he can remember what kind of dagashi people like.
- His shamoji clicks into the back of his harness :v)
- Although he dropped out from highschool he isn't dumb per say. He could care less about Sprinkit history and classical literature but he can count those big numbers with his old school abacus like any other crunchy kit
- He's friends with the neighborhood kids who come by his gramp's dagashiya. They often come and hangout there and ask Nori to help them beat a difficult stage in a video game.
Timeline

Current Day [ 34 years old ]
Currently he's just vibing working at his grandpa's dagashiya during the day and security gigs by night.
-3 years [ 31 years old ]
Out of the blue, a kit by the name of Kurara comes claiming to be the grandaughter of Nori's grandpa shows up to seek a sort of family reunion. Nori's grandpa isn't having any of it but knowing what not having family feels like, Nori extends his hand to this stranger.
-4 years [ 30 years old ]
After some deliberation, Nori goes to seek out someone in the black marcat which just so happens to be Reigh. As he continues his patronage to his work, he notices that Reigh most likely has feelings for him that he can't reciprocate.
-6 years [ 28 years old ]
Kousei is able to open his Wagashiya and they throw a little opening party. As this means he won't be around to help out, Nori gives him a kompeito to say "Thanks for being a friend through hell and high water- I'm glad we still have each other and i hope we can stay friends even after you leave!"
-10 years [ 24 years old ]
Nori gets to know a man who drops by his dagashiya often. He gets to know this man as Shiki Sakuma. A seemingly normal salary man that enjoys a sweet treat on his way home. They both hit it off start dating after a few nights out. However, they both knew this was something not meant to last. After a few months they parted ways.
-13 years [ 21 years old ]

Not knowing about their falling out, Nori's grandpa goes to Kousei for help. Kousei takes this opportunity to try and make up for his past doings and helps out with the Dagashiya as Nori recovers. Even after Nori is released from the hospital, Kousei stays a bit to help and in return the both of them teach Kousei the ins and outs of running a shop but also the warm of being with family
-16 years [ 18 years old ]
Nori's childhood friend Kousei betrays his trust and lets his delinquent group ransack his grandfather's Dagashiya while he's out working. Kousei tries to make up for it later with money but Nori is unwilling to forgive him with simply money.
-18 years [ 16 years old ]
Nori becomes old enough to work and drops out of highschool to do part time jobs to help pay rent. He realizes people respect him more if he carries himself with an air of confidence and thus develops his default form in sugar magic. It's this time when he realizes the sugar magic had previously only been an indication of when he was weak could empower him. He continues to use his sugar magic and is able to train himself to use it for longer and longer periods of time.
-29 years [ 5 years old ]
His parents leave for work to the Sugar mines and never come home. Their essentials like IDs, phones, and a stack of savings they hid in their household also disappeared that day. Nori's grandpa told him that his parents were dead to them, that it was just the two of them now.
Whenever Nori feels lost, he regresses to this age. This was the first time Nori felt truely lost, not sure what or if he did anything wrong to make his parents disappear as they did.
