Pepper Callisto

DESIGN NOTES: His eyes are brown (not as red as in some refs unless it's a stylistic choice) and his hair is black!

A person with a tough outer shell (both mentally and physically), Pepper seems ruthless at first glance. People usually have a very hard time getting close to him, but after you get to know him well, he shows a soft side and can be very sweet. Pepper is a very sensitive person, but he keeps it all under wraps by being sharp and antisocial towards others. If put in a dangerous situation, it's easy for him to crack.

Born to a rich family in California, Pepper's parents were always too busy to spend any time with him. Pepper always felt very lonely and eventually grew accustomed to the feeling. As soon as he was old enough, Pepper moved out of his parent's house and into a small apartment in Isleton. His parents sent him some money in the hopes that he would come back, but Pepper has not and uses the dwindling supply of money to live off of. He never wants to feel abandoned like with his parents and acts tough so that no one will try and get close to him.

Pepper met Lightning when she moved to Isleton. The way that they meet varies depending on the story, but they're usually forced to meet by some circumstance, whether it's in school, they're heores for some adventure, or they're in a Total Drama season together. They have a conflict at the beginning as neither really likes each other. Lightning thinks Pepper's a bully and Pepper isn't a fan of friendly people like Lightning. Lightning and Pepper are also very competitive, so this causes them to rub up against each other. Over time, the conflict becomes a bit more friendly as the two start to spend more time together and like they way they interact. There's usually some relationship-building moment, which is usually a serious conversation between the two where they realize they both have problems letting people into their walls and they figure out they have a lot in common. After that, the relationship develops from there! Instead of competing, the two become a great team. Pepper is usually the more embarrassed one about things as it is out of his tough-guy image.

This is some asthetic stuff that is only true in certain canon!!

One day, Pepper was walking at night, when he encountered a girl named Adelia. To make a long RP short, Adelia angelized him (which is where she cut scars into his back with a knife where wings would be). This was hugely traumatic, and it gave Pepper PTSD. He has frequent night terrors and relies heavily on Lightning for support. The scars have healed jaggedly and will never completly go away.
