Ignorance had never done you any favours, but knowing tipped you right over the edge, straight into the waiting embrace of roaring flames. It's not what you wanted, but there's no choice; not anymore.

It's unsightly to weep, yet nearly impossible to keep hot tears at bay. So she keeps her rage trapped tightly behind her teeth as her tears fall, delicately, beautifully, downcast lashes hiding the venomous wrath in her gaze.
Ondina shakes. They see her trembling shoulders and mistake her fury for sorrow.
