A cast out of the Aurl'uk species, she is banished from her species' territory for a tragic event that happened in her youth. The death of her older brother, Zolen, and of two unnamed Pikolarn.
She used to have the name "Akanma" when she was young, and it meant "small and strange". She did not like this, and called herself "Tini" instead, as it had no meaning in their language.
She has very strong water manipulation abilities, and is thus seen as "cursed by The Angered One" by her species.
