Varanasi

“Varanasi is a city in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh dating to the 11th century B.C. Regarded as the spiritual capital of India, the city draws Hindu pilgrims who bathe in the Ganges River’s sacred waters and perform funeral rites. Along the city's winding streets are some 2,000 temples, including Kashi Vishwanath, the “Golden Temple,” dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva.”

 Vara is a quiet Faunid, almost always found near a lake in the middle of the forest she calls her home. Shes a teller for Herne and is one you can go to her problems with the heart or emotions. She often deals with death, not the dead themselves but helping other faunids cross over if needed.  Her partner is Aglaia, who is also often seen with her in her glade or wandering the forest protecting said glade.
