Alric

While Alric and his guildmates were escorting a caravan through an eerie forest, they were attacked by a strange glowing creature. It killed them all. Only Alric escaped with his life, but suffered a burning pain in his wounded right arm. The same red glowing symbols on the beast began appearing on his skin, seems it left a curse of sorts. He's since joined the Hunters Guild in hopes of finding and slaying the beast to get revenge for his fallen companions, as well as hopefully lift the curse.
After getting lost while tracking the beasts in a swamp he stumbled upon a peculiar fairy-fellow who offered to lead him out of the foggy swamp so long as Alric agreed to escort the mystical being outside the swamp and show him the world beyond.
