About: Neither her nor her sister were born to royalty, they were of the lower aristocracy, and while her sister Mari had no interests in anything outside of her singing and gardening, that all changed when she meet and fell in love with the at the time prince of Sakhius. Atori was happy for her sister if not a little jealous, she was an ambitious woman wanting to be more than she was currently and eventually married for rank rather than love. She never had any children and her husband died while on a patrol leaving her a widow, she moved in with her sister and her husband to help raise her nephew and later her niece. Than Mari became sick and died, and soon after her husband did as well. As the closest living relative Atori became regent ‘until her nephew was of age’. Somehow she has been able to still keep hold of the majority of power, and she has further ambitions, she sees her nephew as the next high king, no matter what it takes.
