Miff

Hollow Knight fan character :D

When Miff was young, he found himself lost in the endless dark of the Deepnest. Fleeing for his life from the beasts of the Nest, he took refuge in the Weaver's den, where he discovered the work of the Weavers who had long abandoned the place. This included their research into seals and a charm: Weaversong. Curious, Miff took the charm. Soon, three weaverlings crept out and kept Miff company as he took refuge in the den. Miff lived in the den until adulthood, constructing seals based off of the Weavers' work and adventuring out into the Deepnest little by little. Finally with his companion weaverlings and his trusty shield with a simple protection seal of his own design, Miff braved the Deepnest and ventured to the kingdom of Hallownest beyond.

Later, Miff somehow found himself in the pit of the Soul Sanctum. There, he found a place that was sealed off, denying entry. Being a curious creature, Miff pinpointed the weakness of the seal and deconstructed it. Behind the seal was an unconscious vessel, later known to Miff as Karma. When Miff approached and later prodded the vessel, Karma stirred and then immediately began to attack Miff, mistaking Miff for his infected brethren. Upon realizing that Miff was indeed not infected, Karma ran off. Miff followed, much to Karma's dismay, and after much persistence Miff convinced Karma that they should travel together. The two become close friends and travel across the kingdom as it recovers from the Radiance's infection.

Miff is very protective of his weaverling friends, and the weaverlings accompany Miff even when he isn't wearing the charm. He is curious to a fault and very persistent, and these two things combined often end up annoying Karma. He's smart and will try to decipher any Wanderer's Journals that he finds, but his need for adventure usually gets him in trouble.
