This made him a very valuable member of the gang, and mercedes was willing to put up with his questionable personality and antics in exchange for his loyalty. Though unruly at times he would never betray his gang, his gang is as close to a family as he ever could come, and thus he was always loyal. Even if it didn't always seem like it. He now lives on the road, thieving from those that he can. Eventually he makes it to evening, discovers that most of his old gang is here (is offended for a bit by the fact that he wasn't invited) and finds a place as a ranch hand alongside eden at christine's ranch.
